The original "Blue Bird Cafe" is full of history and longing to be restored to bring it back to its full glory of the bygone years.
Originally built in 1903, the brick building still features American Art Deco style with booth dining and fan-shaped mirrors. The stunning milk bar with the original fresh ice cream drums and soda siphons still remain (but unworking now). The original lobster and fruit motifs are still painted on the windows.
Many happy memories and stories are still told of dining out at the Blue Bird Cafe, and if you listen hard you can almost hear the joyful children coming through the doors for lollies and ice cream.
In need of some TLC, but with loads of potential, situated in the heart of the main street of the unique Verandah Town.
